Start with a clean, prepared surface and test the sequence on the actual material. Keep coarse compound residue away from the next wheel. Choose replacement polishing compounds by formula.
Before mounting
Check the complete wheel and machine setup
- Confirm the machine is approved for the wheel type and diameter.
- Match the arbor hole, center plate and manufacturer-specified mounting hardware.
- Check clearance, flanges and guarding, then follow the lowest applicable speed limit from the wheel label and equipment instructions.
A 5/8-inch plain arbor hole and a 5/8-11 threaded spindle are different mounting details. Confirm the approved assembly before selecting a flange or reducer.
Follow the machine and wheel instructions, compound safety data and the protection required for the material and workplace. Buffing can grab edges and throw parts; use the prescribed guarding, workholding and operating method.

Which compound goes with each wheel?
Use Black Magic with the red wheel for the initial stainless cutting stage, then change to a separate clean pink wheel with Yellow Deluxe for the next polishing stage. Keep compounds on dedicated wheels to avoid carrying coarse residue into a finer stage.
Is a white finishing wheel included?
The listed mini-kit wheels are red and pink. A white flannel wheel and Blue Rouge compound are separate finishing choices. An optional white-wheel process does not establish the operating speed or mounting requirements for every wheel in the kit.
Will this kit fit my polisher or angle grinder?
Use equipment approved for the wheel type and diameter, with matching arbor hardware, flanges, clearance and guarding. Check the wheel label and machine instructions for the permitted speed. A 5/8-inch arbor hole alone does not establish compatibility with a threaded spindle or an adapter.
