Compare the exact options before ordering

Match both belt dimensions to the machine manual, then compare the material and grit combinations below. A grit offered in one material may not be offered in another.

These links show the combinations listed for this product. Select a grit to load that exact option; confirm its current price and availability before adding it to your cart.

Each selected wide-belt variant is a two-pack of the same material and grit. A machine’s working width is not necessarily its abrasive-belt width. Check the manual’s belt specification, backing, joint and process requirements.

FIT THE MACHINE, THEN BUILD THE SANDING SEQUENCE

Choose a belt for the removal rate and finish you need

Start by confirming the machine requires a 37-inch × 60-inch belt. Then choose the abrasive material and grit that move the work from stock removal toward the required surface without guessing at an unavailable combination.

01

Two belts per pack

Every variant on this page is a two-pack in the selected abrasive material and grit.

02

37" wide × 60" long

Built for machines that specify this exact wide-belt size. Confirm both dimensions in the machine manual.

ABRASIVE MATERIAL GUIDE

Which wide-belt abrasive should you choose?

Material choice changes the available grit range and price. Use the live selector for the exact combination.

GENERAL-PURPOSE RANGE

Closed-coat cloth aluminum oxide

The broadest grit selection on this page, spanning coarse stock removal through fine scratch refinement.

Available: 36, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 220, 320, 400 grit
HEAVIER-REMOVAL RANGE

Zirconia

The current product record positions zirconia for heavier stock-removal work in coarse and medium grit stages.

Available: 36, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120 grit
COARSE-TO-MEDIUM RANGE

Ceramic

The only material on this product with a 24-grit option. Confirm ceramic is specified for your material and process.

Available: 24, 36, 40, 60, 80, 120 grit

GRIT SELECTION GUIDE

What does each wide-belt grit range do?

24–40Heavy removal

For coarse leveling, aggressive stock removal, and heavy surface correction.

60–80Leveling and blending

Continue surfacing while reducing the scratch pattern left by a coarser belt.

100–120Intermediate refinement

Refine the surface after general leveling and before finer preparation stages.

150–220Finish preparation

Prepare wood or another validated material for the finishing sequence required by the process.

320–400Fine refinement

Aluminum-oxide options for finer scratch refinement where the production process calls for them.

Plan the full sequence: work material, stock condition, feed speed, sanding pressure, platen or drum setup, and the finish target all affect the correct starting and ending grit.

MACHINE-FIT GUIDE

Will a 37" x 60" belt fit your sander?

The linked manufacturer references specify a 37-inch-wide, 60-inch-long belt for these models. Confirm the manual for your exact machine revision and configuration.

Laguna Tools

MW37C — 37 × 60″

Grizzly G0447 and Laguna Pro 37 / Wood Pro require 37 × 75-inch belts. They are not 37 × 60-inch examples. Match the full loop length as well as the width. Shop 37 × 75-inch wide belts

For other models, including Timesavers 137-1HD, confirm the required belt dimensions in the exact machine manual; a family or brand name alone does not establish fit.

Before ordering: verify 37-inch width, 60-inch belt length, the machine’s abrasive requirements, and any direction, tension, or joint restrictions.

HOW TO INSTALL AND CHECK THE BELT

Set the belt up before it touches the workpiece

  1. 01

Disconnect and lock out power according to the machine and workplace procedures.

  2. 02

Confirm the machine requires a 37-inch × 60-inch belt and that the selected abrasive is appropriate for the process.

  3. 03

Inspect the abrasive surface, backing, edges, and belt joint. Do not install a damaged belt.

  4. 04

Follow any directional marking, then install, tension, and track the belt according to the machine manual.

  5. 05

Rotate the machine by hand when permitted and inspect clearance before restoring power.

  6. 06

Test tracking without contacting the workpiece, then begin with the feed, pressure, and dust collection specified for the machine and material.

Use the guarding, dust or spark collection, and personal protective equipment required by the machine manual, work material, sanding process, and workplace procedures.

Use it for

  • Compatible industrial wide-belt sanders
  • Wood stock removal, leveling, and finish preparation
  • Metal sanding with the appropriate abrasive and process
  • Progressive sanding sequences using available grits
  • Validated plastic, composite, or carbon-fiber processes

Do not use it for

  • A machine requiring another belt width or length
  • A belt with a damaged joint, edge, or backing
  • A handheld belt sander or unguarded machine
  • Wet sanding without full belt-and-machine confirmation
  • Operation outside the machine’s tension, speed, tracking, or collection guidance

37" x 60" SANDING BELT FAQ

Questions before you choose a belt?

What comes in each 37-inch x 60-inch belt pack?

Each selected variant is a two-pack. Both belts use the abrasive material and grit shown in the live selector.

Which machines use a 37-inch x 60-inch sanding belt?

Manufacturer references specify 37 × 60 inches for Grizzly H2934, G0539 and G0571, Laguna MW37C, and Shop Fox W1737/W1738. Grizzly G0447 and Laguna Pro 37 / Wood Pro instead specify 37 × 75 inches. Confirm your exact machine revision, belt backing and joint requirements before ordering.

Should I choose aluminum oxide, zirconia, or ceramic?

Closed-coat cloth aluminum oxide has the broadest grit range and is the general-purpose option on this page. Zirconia is offered in 36–120 grit and is positioned for heavier removal. Ceramic is offered in 24–120 grit. Match the abrasive to the work material, removal rate, finish target, machine, and process.

Which grit should I use on a wide belt sander?

Use 24–40 grit for heavy removal, 60–80 for leveling and blending, 100–120 for intermediate refinement, 150–220 for finish preparation, and 320–400 for finer scratch refinement. Start with the least aggressive grit that will do the work.

Is 24 grit available in every abrasive material?

No. The 24-grit variant is available only in ceramic. Aluminum oxide begins at 36 grit, and zirconia is offered from 36 through 120 grit on this product.

How should I orient and track the sanding belt?

Follow any directional marking on the delivered belt and the machine manufacturer’s instructions. After installation, rotate the machine by hand when permitted, then test tracking without contacting the workpiece before production sanding.

Can these wide sanding belts be used wet?

Do not assume wet-use compatibility from the size alone. Confirm that the selected belt construction, machine, coolant, work material, and collection system are all approved for the wet process before use.

What are the shipping and return terms?

Shipping methods, rates, and delivery estimates depend on the order and destination and are shown at checkout. The return policy provides a 30-day window for eligible unused items in original condition and packaging. Restrictions apply, and customers are responsible for return-shipping costs.
