CLOTH-BACKED PSA FOR A FIRMER SANDING SYSTEM
These discs use a pressure-sensitive adhesive liner for direct attachment to a compatible clean 5-inch PSA backup pad or steel platen. The X-weight cloth backing is intended for more demanding sanding than lightweight paper, while the selected grain controls cut and scratch.
Every selected variant contains 50 matching 5-inch cloth PSA discs.
Thirteen aluminum oxide, thirteen silicon carbide, six zirconia, and six ceramic variants are listed.

DECISION GUIDE
The exact fit, abrasive construction, grit, machine setup, work material, and finish target all affect the result.
A general-purpose choice for sanding, deburring, blending, and finish preparation on qualified wood or metal work.
A coarse-to-medium option for demanding stock removal, commonly selected for metal when suitable pressure and heat control are available.
A demanding-removal option that benefits from appropriate controlled pressure. It is not automatically the best grain for every substrate, sander, or finish target.
A hard, sharp grain for controlled scratch refinement on qualified materials. Test for the actual substrate, loading tendency, and finish system.
CLOTH PSA CONSTRUCTION
Each disc combines abrasive grain, resin bond, X-weight cloth backing, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive liner. The compatible backup pad or steel platen, tool, and work support are separate parts of the sanding system.
Use the live variant name as the product specification. Different grain families have different available ranges, and a higher-priced grain is not automatically right for every job.
Heat resistance does not remove system limits. Monitor temperature, loading, edge wear, backing condition, and any change in attachment during use.
Cloth is more durable than lightweight paper in many heavy or edge-wear applications, but it is less compliant for fine paint-preparation work and must still match the pad and tool.
Pressure-sensitive adhesive attaches directly to a clean compatible surface. It is not hook-and-loop, and a damaged, oily, dusty, overheated, or wrong-size pad can compromise the attachment.
ORIGINAL INSTALLATION VIDEO
The product video from the original pages is retained below. Always follow the exact sander and pad instructions when they differ from a general demonstration.
PSA uses adhesive contact across the back of the disc. Hook-and-loop uses mating textile faces. Do not place one system directly on the other unless the tool manufacturer approves a purpose-built interface.
Do not generalize wet-use claims. Use liquid only when the exact disc, adhesive, pad, machine, electrical setup, work material, and operating procedure are approved for it.
HOW TO USE IT
Follow the sander and pad instructions for power isolation, pad condition, disc diameter, speed, guards, extraction, pressure, and removal.
Disconnect power and confirm a 5-inch cloth PSA disc is approved for the tool, pad or steel platen, and speed.
Clean and inspect the attachment surface; replace a worn, distorted, contaminated, or damaged pad.
Peel the liner, center the disc without stretching it, and press evenly from the center outward.
Start clear of the work, test on representative material, and use controlled pressure while monitoring heat and loading.
Stop the tool fully before removal; peel the disc without gouging the pad and clean the surface for the next disc.
Use the guarding, extraction or collection, personal protective equipment, training, and operating procedures required by the machine, abrasive product, work material, and workplace.
PRODUCT FAQ
PSA means pressure-sensitive adhesive. Remove the liner, center the disc on a clean compatible backup pad or steel platen, and press it flat. It is not the same attachment as hook-and-loop.
Cloth backing is tougher and better suited to more demanding sanding and edge wear, while paper is usually chosen for lighter finishing and paint-preparation work. The correct choice also depends on pad, tool, substrate, speed, pressure, and finish target.
The live selector offers aluminum oxide, zirconia, ceramic, and silicon carbide. Their available grit ranges differ, so use the exact choices shown for each material.
No. The machine must use a compatible 5-inch PSA backup pad or steel platen approved for the cloth disc, speed, work material, and application. Hook-and-loop alone is not a PSA attachment surface.
Use the correct clean, dry, flat attachment surface; center the disc; press evenly; avoid contaminated or damaged pads; follow the tool and pad temperature and speed limits; and replace the disc when its attachment or backing is no longer sound.
